I’m here to support you through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum - helping you feel cared for, resourced, and connected to your own embodied decision-making.
I’m so glad you’re here.
Hi, I’m Haley - a birth and postpartum doula based in Brevard, North Carolina. I’m passionate about helping families move through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with confidence and calm. My work is rooted in presence, advocacy, and embodied decision-making, offering care that helps you feel informed, supported, and connected to your own strength.
Before becoming a doula, I worked for many years as a preschool teacher, nanny, and wedding planner - roles that taught me how to stay centered through change, bring calm to big moments, and meet people exactly where they are.
I became a doula because I believe everyone deserves thoughtful, personalized support - the kind that honors who you are, your choices, your intuition, and the deep transformation of becoming a parent. My approach is gentle but grounded, weaving evidence-based guidance with genuine care and trust.
Doula FAQ’s
-
A doula offers emotional, physical, and informational support and advocacy. A doula is a non-medical support person using evidence-based information and comfort measures to provide unbiased, individualized, and non-judgmental care.
-
Studies show that doula support is associated with better birth experiences and outcomes:
Up to a ~25–39% lower risk of cesarean birth
A shorter average labor length
More spontaneous vaginal births and greater satisfaction with the birthing experience
Reduced anxiety during labor and lower rates of postpartum depression
But beyond the research, a doula offers something the medical system simply isn't designed to provide: continuous, unhurried presence. Your care team is focused on your health and safety - my focus is entirely on you - how you're feeling, what you need, and making sure you feel informed and supported in every moment.
-
Absolutely. My support isn't tied to any particular birth plan, setting, or outcome, it's tied to you. Whether you're planning a home birth, a birth center, or a hospital delivery - medicated, unmedicated, or cesarean - I'm here to help you feel informed, prepared, and supported in whatever unfolds.
-
I'm on call for you 24/7 starting at 37 weeks, and you can call me any time you think labor may be beginning. I provide up to 16 hours of continuous in-person support. If your labor extends beyond that, a backup doula (someone I'll introduce you to beforehand) steps in so you always have attentive, well-rested care by your side.
-
Not at all - one of my favorite parts of this work is supporting your partner too. I help them feel confident and involved, offering guidance on how to best support you in the moment. We become a team, and that often makes the experience more meaningful for everyone in the room.
-
The earlier, the better! Hiring early means more time together before birth - getting to know each other, talking through your hopes and preferences, and making sure you feel fully prepared. That said, if you're further along in your pregnancy, please still reach out. I'm always happy to discuss what's possible.
-
Yes! I never want cost to feel like a barrier to getting the support you deserve. If you have concerns about the investment, I'm always open to a conversation about creative solutions that work for everyone. Just bring it up during your free consultation and we'll figure something out together.
